From Mrs. DiMatteo
Our
classroom is a hands-on, student-centered learning
environment. We begin each day writing stories in our
journals. (Yes-Kindergarteners are writers!) We love our
Morning Math Meeting and Math where we use manipulatives
each day. Next, it is time for reading groups (a.k.a.
flooding) where students rotate between four different
teachers for intensive practice of the 5 components of
reading. After lunch we practice handwriting, sing songs at
Circle Time and then rotate through our multiple
intelligence centers. We then get to visit with our most
amazing P.E. and Music teachers for the remainder of our day!
